'Music for Marie' Raises $2K for Fowler Family

The benefit was well attended, and organizers say the family was grateful for all the support.

Saturday's 'Music for Marie' event raised more than $2,000 for the family of Oaklyn resident Marie Fowler, a 2011 Collingswood High School graduate who died of leukemia in May.

Friends and family gathered on West Clinton Avenue in Oaklyn, rocking out to 30 local bands who came out to support the Fowler family.

"With the help of all the performers and volunteers, we managed to raise over $2,000 in four hours," said Tess McCrindle, a long-time friend of Marie Fowler who organized the event.

"I cannot express how much this meant to me and of course the Fowler family who deserves everything and more."
