To celebrate 100 years, library officials are inviting the community to ring in this milestone during a Book Ball September 15. The event will take place from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Powell Lane in Collingswood.

Library staff say they'll be transforming Powell Lane into a "book-lover's dream," with highlights including book-inspired cocktails, entertainment and decorations.

Birthday party-goers are asked to dress as their favorite book characters or authors. The evening's best literary author, character, and couple will be awarded prizes.

Book Ball tickets are being sold at Collingswood Public Library for $60 per person, and may be purchased via check or cash only.

Ticket cost includes open bar access, a buffet dinner, and live musical entertainment.

During the evening, a silent auction will be held, giving guests the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind opportunities and merchandise.

One hundred percent of the night's proceeds will be used for purchasing new library inventory.
