You Said It: Residents Discuss Voting on School Board and Budget

Residents of Collingswood explain why—or why not—hitting the polls is important on April 27.

Borough resident and taxpayer Rhonda Junikka also has a daughter in Collingswood Middle School.

While Junikka said the education of Collingswood's youth is important, she does not support the property tax increase proposed in the public school district budget.

Junikka said tax increases continuously occur year after year, and the thought of another is less-than appealing.

Collingswood resident Chris O'Donnell said he votes for the district's budget and board candidates each year.

A father of five, O'Donnell stressed the importance of voting this April.

According to O'Donnell, his five children all received excellent education through the Collingswood Public School District, and residents should vote to maintain that quality for future generations of Collingswood children.

It's important to vote on school budgets and for school board candidates, she said, in order to maintain the quality of education her children have received.
