Collingswood Wrestling Leads Early, Falls to West Deptford

The Panthers jumped out to a 16-5 lead, but couldn't hold off a huge charge from West Deptford's lightweights.

Everything was going right for 's wrestlers against West Deptford Friday night.

Billy Crowley came back to eke out a win over the Eagles' Dan Gibson.

Pat Miles and Mike Campbell followed that with a pin and a decision, respectively, and after the Panthers' Luis Ochoa scored a major decision against West Deptford's Mark Fischer, Collingswood held a 16-5 lead and seemed poised for the upset.

But West Deptford turned around and won seven bouts in a row, including three by pin and two by major decision, to seal the 37-25 win at West Deptford High School Friday night.
