Third Quarter Tax Due Date Extended

The borough has extended its tax due date until later this month.

Residents should be reminded of the borough's announcement that this quarter's tax payment due date will be extended until Tuesday, August 30.

The third quarter tax due date normally falls on August 1. The extension adds a 29-day window for payment.

Tax bills were only just mailed out on Monday, August 1, said borough officials.

"Bills were mailed out today," said Mayor James Maley during the Monday, August 1 Collingswood Borough Commission meeting. "Tax bills are out from the state, and there's a grace period."

Payments may be mailed to borough hall, and addressed to Borough of Collingswood, 678 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108, and cited ATTN: Tax Department.

Those who hand-mail their payments, and would like a receipt, should include a self-addressed and stamped envelope with their mailed payment, so that borough officials can mail back a receipt. 

Payments may also be hand-delivered at during regular business hours, which run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

All payments must be made by the end of the work day on August 30.
