UPDATE: Local Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Man in Chest

Officials at the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Gregory Riedel was arrested Sunday night.

Police have charged a local man with attempted murder in the stabbing of his ex-wife's boyfriend. 

Gregory Riedel, 60, was living with his ex-wife and the victim, a 41-year-old man, in an apartment at the Heights of Collingswood on Newton Lake Drive, said Jason Laughlin, a spokesman for the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. 

The victim, whose name was not released, remained in criticial condition Monday afternoon at Cooper University Hospital  in Camden, according to Laughlin.

Police said the victim was stabbed in the chest in the C building of Heights of Collingswood. 

Riedele was arrested shortly after the stabbing around 8 p.m.  Sunday, police said. He was held in the Camden County Jail in lieu of bail.
