Infant Massage Class Series - Special Event!

Parent with a newborn? Want to learn some secrets to helping your bundle of joy sleep better, ease their colic, and gain many more benefits? Start your baby's New Year right by coming to a special series of Infant Massage Classes at Nest Philly.

These Infant Massage Classes are designed to help parents and caregivers learn massage techniques and exercises to help babies (and parents) with a wide variety of conditions. The class' primary focus will be on babies aged 6 weeks through 1 year, however the techniques can be valuable for children older than a year as well.

The 3-class Series is divided into three sessions, with each session focusing on massage and exercises for specific areas of the body. The techniques in this class are valuable for not only parents, but grandparents, child care workers, social workers, health professionals - anyone who routinely and regularly works with babies and children. Parents are encouraged to bring their children so they have a body to practice on, however for expectant parents, caretakers, or anyone who doesn't have an actual baby, simulations (dolls) can be provided.

This special event series is being taught by Karen Stoner, LMT of A Caring Touch: Massage Therapy. Karen is a Licensed Massage Therapist who holds advanced specializations in Prenatal, Fertility, and Infant Massage & Instruction. Her Infant Massage expertise earned her a place in Massage Magazine's March 2013 featured article on the benefits of Infant Massage.
