Last Chance to: File a Tax Appeal

First up in our new Last Chance feature: the deadline approaches for tax appeals.

Time is running very short if you think you’re being overcharged on property taxes.

Collingswood residents face an April 2 deadline to file a tax appeal with the Camden County Board of Taxation.

Successful tax appeals prove that the property is over-assessed, and unreasonable compared to market value.

If you think you fall into that group, you must file paperwork by Monday, April 2, with the county Board of Taxation. Just having it postmarked by April 2 isn’t good enough, the county warns in a pamphlet laying out the tax appeals process.
