Photos: Osteria Moorestown Hosts Preview Party

The Moorestown Mall's newest restaurant—the first restaurant to serve alcohol in the township in nearly a century—officially opens for business Monday.

You'll have to wait until Monday for the official unveiling of Osteria Moorestown, but Marc Vetri and co. gave a sneak preview Thursday night.

Osteria—Moorestown's first alcohol-serving restaurant in nearly a century—threw what amounted to a "thank you" party for the community Thursday, explained general manager Martin Cugine, with more than 100 special guests in attendance sampling cocktails, wines and hors d'oeuvres.

It was the general public's first chance to get a glimpse inside the Italian eatery, which has been under construction since the summer

A ribbon-cutting for the restaurant—located between Sears and Boscov's at the Moorestown Mall—was slated for 3 p.m. Friday.

Check back with Patch later in the day Friday for more photos and information about the restaurant from the general manager.
