Patch 5-Day Forecast: A Decent Week Weather-wise

Will we see warm temperatures this week? Find out in the PatchCast for April 22-28.

High pressure will provide us with mostly sunny skies to start the new work/school week. Temperatures will be a bit milder, climbing back up to that 60 degree mark that we only saw for a very brief time over the weekend on Saturday afternoon. The rest of the week will feature high temperatures above 60 degrees.

A low pressure system off the Mid-Atlantic coast will throw some moisture into our region on Tuesday. Look for mostly cloudy skies with a few breaks of sun. A shower or sprinkle is possible through the day, so it's not looking like the nicest of days, although it will not be a wash-out by any means.

We'll be out ahead of a cold front on Wednesday, turning our winds out of the south and southwest. This wind direction will provide us with warmer temperatures by Wednesday afternoon, perhaps reaching or exceeding 70 degrees. In my opinion, this is the pick-day of the week. Showers will hold off until after dark, more likely even until after we're asleep.

Behind the cold front is slightly cooler air. We'll still manage the mid 60s on Thursday after a leftover morning shower. The afternoon looks pretty nice as the sun returns.

High pressure will dominate on Friday and Saturday. Expect a beautiful day with bright sunshine on Friday. Saturday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with pleasant temperatures continuing. Slightly milder air will work its way in for the second half of the weekend with temperatures nearing 70 once again.
