Collingswood Pop-Up Gala Photos

The town-wide surprise dinner was a smash hit in its inaugural run.

The secret location of Collingswood's inaugural Pop-Up Gala is a secret no more.

Before a row of historic homes and beneath a canopy of trees that stretched out on either side of West Browning Road, 240 residents and their guests dined and danced late into the September evening on Saturday.

Collingswood Mayor James Maley thanked the crowd for its willingness to "try something new," and promised that next year's attendance would double.

Director of Community Development Cassandra Duffey said planning the event was like getting to give the borough of Collingswood an elegant Christmas gift.

Out-of-towners were well represented at the dinner, with natives of Southampton, Brigantine, Princeton, and Philadelphia, among others, visiting their Collingswood friends for the event. Everyone bought into the spirit of the affair.

Collingswood photographer Tricia Burrough captured these images of the event. For more, check out her blog at Lilac Blossom Photography.
