Betsy Cook is the owner/designer of a locally-made clothing line, National Picnic. She is a first-generation manufacturer, and the adventure is just beginning.
Prior to launching her clothing business, Betsy served as the director of the national-award-winning Collingswood Farmer's Market for six years. Her farmer's market involvement was a huge influence in her decision to pursue "local" production. She was one of the market's original volunteers when it began in 2000 and still enjoys emceeing the annual pie-baking contests during peach and apple season!
Betsy Cook has had a diverse arts-related career, pursuing freelance work in photography, advertising, marketing, graphic design, and website development. Providence College is her alma mater. She lives with her family in the Philadelphia suburb of Collingswood, New Jersey.
