Local Shops Find the Joy in Old Toys

These stores carry everything from vintage action figures to old-school video games.

You're never too old to be a kid, at least at local independent toy shops like Brad's Toy Room and the House of Fun.  Since Brad's opened on Oct. 1, "our customers have largely been early-year teens, mid-thirties men and young children," said 32-year-old Mandi Bricker, who owns Brad's Toy Room with her husband, 36-year-old Brad Bricker Jr.  The shop's vintage appeal is what attracts an older demographic, said Mandi Bricker, of Cherry Hill.  Chris Consalvi, owner of the House of Fun in neighboring Oaklyn, said nostalgia also is a big draw at his store, which recently moved into a larger storefront two doors down from its original location on the White Horse Pike.  "It's a store full of memories for a lot of people," Consalvi, 38, said of …
