Carjacker Wanted in Gas Station Robbery, Stabbing, Police Say

Collingswood Police believe a man wanted in connection with a carjacking Feb. 20 may also have stabbed and robbed an attendant at the Gulf station on Feb. 15.

Collingswood Police now believe the man who carjacked two women at knifepoint Feb. 20 is the same person wanted in the Feb. 15 stabbing and robbery of a Gulf gas station attendant on Route 130. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office released a photo of the man sought in those incidents Thursday afternoon. He is described as a stocky, black male, weighing between 250 and 275 pounds and 5 feet, 7 inches to 6 feet tall. A knife was produced in each of the incidents in which the suspect is believed to be involved. The man's carjacking spree began with an unsuccessful attempt Feb. 20 between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. He demanded a nurse hand over her keys as she walked toward her vehicle. She refused and …

Man Stabbed Gas-Station Worker, Fled in Carjacked Vehicle: Police [VIDEO]

Police are asking for help identifying the man they say stabbed a gas station attendant at the Route 130 Gulf Station in Collingswood, and then fled in a stolen vehicle.

Collingswood Police are looking for a man they say robbed the Route 130 Gulf gas station at knifepoint Friday evening, stabbed an attendant, and then fled in a spray of glass, the rear window of his allegedly carjacked vehicle smashed out with a pipe. About 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 15, police say a newer-model, light blue Honda Odyssey minivan pulled into the parking lot at the Gulf gas station on Route 130 South. Surveillance footage from the scene show that the driver ordered gas, exited his vehicle and stalled for time, fidgeting with the lift gate of the vehicle while he waited for other customers to clear out. The man then attacked the attendant with a knife, grabbing an unspecified amount of cash in the process. As he backed the van out of …

Argument Escalates Into Stabbing Friday Night

Two roommates got into a heated discussion that sent one to the hospital and the other to jail.

A bitter argument over an electric bill resulted in a house call from Collingswood Police Friday night, when one man attacked his roommate in an apartment in the 400 block of Haddon Ave. At 7:50 p.m. on September 21, officers were dispatched to a private residence to investigate the report of a fight. Upon arrival they made contact with the caller, a 42-year-old male, who appeared to be suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim had been stabbed in upper chest and abdomen with a small-bladed kitchen knife. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment, and although his condition is unknown at this time, police do not believe his wounds to be life-threatening. Police are withholding the names of the victims because of an ongoing investigation.

Police on Monday continued investigating a weekend incident in which two people were reportedly stabbed during a party at Collingswood Fire Hall.  The incident happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday.  The victims told police they were stabbed while attending a birthday party on the second floor of the building on West Colllings Avenue, in a room that the fire company rents out for events, said Collingswood Police Lt.
