CamCo Braces for Heavy Winds, Rain
Extreme weather could be headed in our direction, including heavy rains and wind overnight.
Camden County is bracing for "high winds, heavy rain and some flooding" this evening, according to an announcement from the Camden County Freeholders: In advance of the storm system, Camden County crews are clearing inlet tops of debris, checking on flood gates, preparing barricades and cones in case of the need for road closures and generally monitoring the situation. Residents are encouraged to drive with caution and avoid low-lying areas where flooding is known to occur. If flooding occurs, never drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the road. The National Weather Service in Mt. Holly …
