Moms Talk Q&A: Santa Claus Curiousity

We want to hear from you! Participate in this week's installment of Moms Talk Q&A.

And with all the commotion, I've hardly had time to think holidays—even though they're right around the corner. As mother to a 3-year-old son, I feel a bit guilty that I'm not in the holiday spirit. But as the dust begins to settle in our new home, I've started talking more to my son about the arrival of Santa Claus.  Yesterday, while en route to our new house, my son said, with a twinkle in his eye, "Mommy, how will Santa find our new house?" I tried to explain that, because our Christmas tree was displayed prominently in the front window, Santa would see it and know we'd moved. This answer, however, did not sit well with my clever little…

Sights and Sounds of the Season on Haddon Avenue

Vocal group Hotsy Totsy sang songs of holiday cheer for shoppers and diners on Saturday.

It's Christmastime, and Collingswood is showing no shortage of holiday cheer. Local singing group Hotsy Totsy—named after an expression of approval from the 1940s that means "close-to-perfect"—sang for shoppers and diners as they walked down the decorated streets. But Hotsy Totsy's song of choice wasn't exactly a classic Christmas carol—at least not in this part of the United States. The vocal group chose to sing a three-part harmony of Mele Kalikimaka, a classic Hawaiian Christmas song.  And as harmonies melded together, Santa Claus himself stopped by, bearing tips and advice for the good little girls and boys of Collingswood Borough.
