We asked the kitchens on Restaurant Row to kick over some ideas of what to make for the big game. Here's some of their favorites.
What are you making for your guests for the big game? If you're up in the air—or haven't yet joined the crush of humanity at Wegman's—we can help you add a few more things to that shopping list. We put out an A.P.B. to Collingswood restaurants to get some ideas for make-at-home snacks, and they came back with some winners. Thanks to all who contributed—and if you have any good recipes of your own, tell us in the comments! Buffalo Chicken Hot Pot from The Pop Shop This recipe comes straight from the personal cookbook of Connie and Bill "Stink" Fisher at The Pop Shop, and calls for Frank's hot sauce. Honey Cholula Wings with Guacamole Ranch Dressing from The Tortilla Press (makes 24 wings) Chef Mark Smith offered up this refreshing take on …

Next week, borough officials and residents will gather at The Pop Shop to get a jump-start on nabbing a Guinness Book of World Records title.
Next week, the borough will take a jump to secure a title in the Guinness Book of World Records. And they'll really be jumping. Jumping-jacks, that is. The Pop Shop has paired with National Geographic Kids magazine to host a daylong contest to break Guinness Book of World Record's title for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. A national affair, it's reported that to break the current record, more than 20,000 people around the country must perform jumping jacks for one minute between the hours of 3 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Confirmed to aid The Pop Shop in accomplishing this nationwide feat: Collingswood Mayor James Maley, Commissioner Joan Leonard and Commissioner Mike …

The Pop Shop's unending variety of creative comfort cuisine only adds to a family-friendly atmosphere—but it's not for everyone.
If your idea of dinner out doesn't include a lot of noise and a ton of kids, you might want to steer clear of The Pop Shop on Haddon Avenue. If, however, you're family-oriented, you'll be in for tasty and creative comfort cuisine—and a rather unique dining experience that boasts family-friendly, 1950s retro appeal. Perhaps appearances on The Food Network and Nickelodeon (not to mention numerous local recognitions), is why The Pop Shop is mobbed on weekends. Or maybe it's the restaurant's old-fashioned soda shop feel, mixed with modern twists like black and white tiled floors, a vintage jukebox and quirky clocks. Friday night, I was met with scores of children and families at the counter of a mirrored soda fountain, as retro-dressed …

Before you countdown to New Year's Day 2011, get ready with the most festive crowd around—the Mummers.
On Dec. 31, The Pop Shop's fifth annual Kid's Kazoo Parade will put more fun, music—and glitter—into New Year's Eve than ever before. At 4:15 p.m. on New Year's Eve, a string-band Mummers brigade will kick-off the parade outside The Pop Shop. Mummers will parade children down Haddon Avenue in a sea of sparkles and surprises. All children in the parade will be given kazoos, which they'll play while marching down the avenue. After the parade, children will get confetti to throw during a pre-New Year's Day countdown. All that parading can work up an appetite, so complimentary cookies will be served during the festivities. And anyone needing to wash down cookies with a meal can step into The Pop Shop, which will be open for business from 8 a…
