Police Seize 'Wet' in Traffic Stop, Charge Driver with Intent to Distribute

Kristopher D. Polk was allegedly transporting 11 jars of 'wet' marijuana, a drug that has been linked to violent murders in Camden City, when he was apprehended Jan. 7.

A routine traffic stop led Collingswood Police to arrest a Camden City man for the possession of a purported hallucinogenic drug with intent to distribute. On Jan. 7, an officer pulled over Kristopher D. Polk, 28, of Camden City, near the intersection of Haddon and Ferry avenues. Polk's vehicle was determined to have an out-of-date inspection sticker, and police say he was unable to provide the required documentation. In the course of a conversation with Polk, the officer reportedly detected a strong owner of burnt marijuana, and asked him to exit the vehicle. Jamarvis Green Sentenced to 13 Years in Drug Case

The 25-year-old Collingswood resident pleaded guilty in June to his role in a drug ring, and will serve at least 6 parole-ineligible years in state prison.

After admitting that he played a critical role in a in drug ring with ties to the Bloods street gang, 25-year-old Jamarvis Green was sentenced Friday to 13 years in state prison, six of which are parole-ineligible. Green was convicted on charges of second-degree racketeering and third-degree cocaine distribution charges on June 25. The narcotics network "was dealing large quantities of cocaine, heroin and PCP," according to a press release from the New Jersey State Attorney General's Office. "Green admitted that he dealt drugs for the ring and also served as a manager who transferred drugs and cash to and from other dealers and the ring’s leader," the release stated. 3 from Collingswood Collared in Camden Drug Bust

Kyle J. Cerone, Michael R. Marengo and Anthony Calabrese were all arrested for allegedly loitering to obtain drugs in a high-traffic area of the city.

Collingswood residents Kyle J. Cerone, 21, Michael R. Marengo, Jr., 26, and Anthony Calabrese, 26, were among 142 patrons of Camden City open-air drug markets arrested in “Operation Padlock,” reported the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office in a press release Monday. All three were charged with loitering for the purposes of obtaining a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), a disorderly persons offense under New Jersey law. Operation Padlock is described by the prosecutor’s office as an initiative that coordinates “police action with public works and community organizations to eliminate the drug trade in a targeted area.” Authorities say the policing strategy has paid dividends, leading to more than 250 arrests on charges ranging from drug …
