Bald Is Beautiful at St. Baldrick's

Collingswood residents line up to get new 'dos—for a good cause—at the annual St. Baldrick's Day.

Dozens of people got a fresh, spring hairdo Sunday, but these haircuts had a purpose beyond just looking good.

From burly firefighters to young boys, people lined up to get their hair buzzed off for the borough's eighth annual St. Baldrick's Day. The party doubles as a fundraiser for pediatric cancer research.

The volunteers shaved their heads in solidarity with kids afflicted with cancer.

This year, one of the largest—possibly the largest—crowd turned out for the Irish-themed party, says Cass Duffey, Collingswood's director of community development.

Duffey shared her St. Baldrick's pictures with Collingswood Patch. Do you have your own St. Baldrick's pictures to share? Click the upload button above to add them to the gallery.
