Fourth of July: Road Closings and Parking Notices

Collingswood Fire Chief Keith Davis issued a memo today to notify residents of road closures and temporary parking prohibitions for Wednesday.

In celebration of Independence Day, borough authorities are closing some roads and limiting parking on others to ensure proper clearance for emergency vehicles.

According to a memo from Collingswood Fire Chief Keith Davis, the following roads will be closed to traffic or will have limited access at certain hours of the day Wednesday.

Closed, 6 p.m to 11 p.m.

  • Colford Ave (from Eldridge to Newton at Park Drive)
  • Newton Ave
  • Lakeshore Drive

(Davis notes that parking is still permitted along Colford and Newton Avenues, although those roads will be closed before and during the fireworks show.)

Closed, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

  • Newton Park Drive (from Everett to Bettlewood)

No Parking Notices

  • Parking on the even-numbered side of Everett Ave will be prohibited Wednesday.
  • Parking along Eldridge Ave will be prohibited Wednesday.
