Rutgers Football Players Ring Bell at New York Stock Exchange

Rutgers plays Notre Dame in the Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday.

Part of the thrill of playing in a bowl game is the festivities leading up to the game itself.

Playing in a bowl game at Yankee Stadium in New York presents some unique opportunities.

Players from both the Rutgers University and University of Notre Dame football teams had the chance to ring the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange and visit the 9/11 Memorial in the week leading up to the Pinstripe Bowl.

The Scarlet Knights (6-6, 3-5) play Notre Dame (8-4) in the game Saturday at noon. It will be nationally televised on ESPN.
