Collingswood Earns No. 4 Seed in NJSIAA Group 1 Playoffs

The Panthers will host the Buena Chiefs in the first round of the Group 1 playoffs on Monday, Feb. 11.

The Collingswood High School wrestling team is staying home for the first round of the playoffs.

The Panthers earned the final home seed of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 1 playoffs, and will take on the No. 5-ranked Buena Chiefs at CHS on Monday, Feb. 11.

Collingswood (21-6) has lost 4 of its last 6, but against top-notch competition, which has prepared the team well for the playoffs. Prior to the slide, the Panthers had rattled off 13 straight match victories.

Paulsboro earned the No. 1 seed, while Cinaminson is the No. 2 seed. Both teams earned byes. Haddon Township takes on Woodstown in the other quarterfinal.

If the Panthers are able to defeat the Chiefs, they will travel to take on a Paulsboro team to which they fell 42-21 on Monday.
