Collingswood Football Team Rolls Over Gateway

The soccer teams found success against Paulsboro this week, as well.

Quarterback Jordan Wallace accounted for six touchdowns as the Collingswood High School football team cruised to a 41-6 win over Gateway on Friday night, according to statistics posted on nj.com.

Five of Wallace's scores came through the air, with Jahmir King accounting for two touchdown catches. He caught scoring passes of 20 and 10 yards.

Wallace had a 56-yard strike to Steven Copeland to open up the scoring, in the first quarter. After back-to-back scoring passes to King, Allen Valentine reached the end zone, courtesy a 55-yard pass from Wallace.

Wallace hooked up with Pat Miles on a 13-yard pass for a score. Wallace rushed one in himself, 37 yards out, to give the Panthers a 41-0 halftime lead.

Kevin Walters was 5-of-6 kicking PATs.

The Panthers remained undefeated at 3-0. Collingswood has a bye week next week before hosting West Deptford on Oct. 11, 7 p.m.

Boys soccer:

The Panthers were 1-1 this week, and are 4-4 for the season.

Haddon Heights 2, Collingswood 0: Jesse Weick scored twice for Haddon Heights, picking up assists from Teddy Davis and Andrew Hicks. Goalie Dan Pender made six saves for Haddon Heights.

Collingswood 3, Paulsboro 0: A scoreless first half fell in favor of the Panthers, who scored three times in the second half. Goals came from Dan Coyle, Easton Aaron and Zach Bille. Hunter Cronin, Alec Avilla and Robert Norton provided assists.

Girls soccer:

Collingswood 6, Paulsboro 1: The Panthers scored five goals in the first half, led by Gina Gabris with a pair of scores. Lauren Glaze had one goal and three assists.

Jenny Calderone, Kayla Hawn and Hannah Taglang each had a goal. Katelyn Madden and Tina Martin contributed an assist apiece.

Haddon Heights 3, Collingswood 0: Hailey Myers, Sarah Roselle and Chelsea Thomas all scored for Haddon Heights. Collingswood goalie Jessica Waters made 16 saves in the loss.
