Collingswood Field Hockey Falls in Group 1 Final

The Panthers tied it up at one point, but Shore had offense to spare.

All tournament runs have to come to an end at some point, and for Collingswood field hockey, that end came Saturday in the Group 1 finals.

Though the Panthers' Krista LaMania scored off Kelly Rodgers' assist in the second half to tie it up at 1-1 against Shore in the title game, the undefeated Blue Devils found more offense late in the game to pull away with a 3-1 victory in the championship at Toms River East.

Collingswood keeper Becca Hall did everything she could to keep the Panthers in the game, making 11 saves, but Shore allowed just five shots on the other end to clinch it.
