Collingswood Boys' Soccer Team Pushes Undefeated West Deptford

The soccer teams failed to pick up a win this week.

The Collingswood High School boys' soccer team held undefeated West Deptford to one goal, and its goalie made 18 saves, but the Eagles were able to remain undefeated, according to stats posted on nj.com.

RJ Eckley finally solved Collingswood keeper Mike Campbell with an unassisted goal in the second half. Campbell made 13 saves in a losing effort. West Deptford goalie Perry Corsetti made one stop.

Collingswood dropped to 4-7.

Haddon Township 2, Collingswood 1: Elzo Dunn and Kyler White each scored in the overtime win.

Collingswood’s Michael Giordano eradicated Haddon Township’s 1-0 halftime lead with a second half goal, assisted by Mike Campbell. Goalie Patrick O’Donnell stopped 10 shots, but couldn’t prevent Haddon Township from turning an overtime opportunity into a goal and a victory.

Haddon Township keeper Scott LaPan made five saves.


Girls' soccer

West Deptford 7, Collingswood 0: Tina Furfari led the way with three goals as the Eagles posted five goals in the first half.

Gabby Sileo had a goal and an assist to lead the Eagles (9-1). Mel Bartley and Payton McGinnis also scored, and Sam Budd, Liz Fenton, Carly Kiley, Kelly Meagher, Madison Moreno and Nicole Pinto had assists.

Goalie Jessica Waters made 18 saves for Collingswood (2-7). 

Sterling 3, Collingswood 1: Hannah Taglang scored the lone goal for the Panthers, with the assist from Lauren Glaze. Goalie Jessica Waters made 11 saves.
