The Week Ahead: Collingswood Sports
It was a week of ups and downs, with some Panthers teams seeing their playoff runs come to a close.
While some teams saw their season end this week, field hockey pushed on in hopes of a state title. Now, Collingswood fans will only have football and field hockey games to follow until winter sports begin.

Panthers got their biggest win of the season this past Friday, beating Gateway Regional High School 27-13. Senior running back Earl Whaley rushed for a 142-yard season high, and Panthers recorded three touchdowns in the win, improving Collingswood’s record to 3-5. The Panthers have a state consolation game this week, with its date and time to be announced. Check back with Patch for an update.

Boys’ Soccer—
The Panthers saw their season come to a close last week, with a this past Tuesday. Panthers ended their year with a 7-12 record.
Field Hockey—
Panthers' field hockey team remained Collingswood's only team with hope for a championship this fall, when they advanced to the Central Jersey Group II finals after a 1-0 victory over Bishop Eustace this Saturday. Prior to the weekend win, they defeated During their semifinal win over Eustace, Krista LaMaina scored a first half goal that stood up for the entire game. Panthers next take on Camden Catholic High School in the CJ Group II Finals this Tuesday at 2 p.m.
