Collingswood BOE Elections Uncontested

The 2013 Board of Education candidates include incumbents David Routzahn and Stephen Rydzewski as well as newcomer Timothy Farrow.

Like most of the recent Camden County primary elections, the Collingswood Board of Education will feature an uncontested slate this fall for three vacant, three-year positions.

Incumbent board members David A. Routzahn and Stephen T. Rydzewski will be joined on the ballot by Moorestown lawyer Timothy S. Farrow.

Farrow is a six-year Collingswood resident and father of three (with one on the way).

"I'm interested in honestly making sure that we have the best schools possible," Farrow told Patch on Wednesday. "I'm certainly proud of where we are now, but certainly think we can go further."

Since the creation of the 2-percent budget cap in New Jersey, school districts have the opportunity to synchronize their board of education elections with the November general election to save the cost of holding separate polls.
