Here are the top five highest-paid officials in Collingswood, along with the State of New Jersey's summary of their job descriptions.

According to the State of New Jersey, the following list includes Collingswood Borough's top five highest-paid local government officials, along with their job descriptions:

1. Police Chief Richard Sarlo, $113,034 per year

According to the State of New Jersey's website, Collingswood Police Chief Richard Sarlo is charged with overseeing operations, and carries out other related duties on an as-needed basis.

2. Fire Chief John Amet, $113,034 per year

Collingswood Fire Chief John Amet, according to New Jersey's record of municipal positions, is a designated member of Collingswood's local government. Amet is charged with overseeing operations at , and heading all departmental affairs in an effort to ensure a "Timely, thorough, and cost-effective preparation conduct," including other work related to these duties, said the website.

 

3. Water Superintendent John Meier, $91,796 per year

Under the direction of , the state website said Meier is charged with supervising all administrative, managerial and maintenance operations for the borough's water treatment purification and sewage disposal plants and their respective systems. Meier is also responsible for directing various activities with regard to construction, inspection, maintenance and repairs for sewer installations and water services. He is also charged with other duties related to his field, on an as-needed basis.

 

4. Borough Administrator Keith Hastings, $75,000 per year

New Jersey reports that Hastings charges are administered under the direction of Collingswood Mayor James Maley and the borough business administrator. They include assisting with administration of daily affairs in the borough, attending commission meetings, and acting as a representative for the mayor or business administrator in the event of their absence. Specifically when the business administrator is unable to attend, Hastings, as a suitable candidate, is charged with acting on the behalf of the missing party and ensuring continuity of municipal actions.

 

5. Public Works Superintendent Carl Jubb Jr., $72,367 per year

According to the State of New Jersey, Jubb's responsibilities are assigned under the direction of borough officials, and include performing supervisory and administrative tasks involving organizing and planning repairs, installations and maintenance operations in a variety of public works facilities. Jubb is also responsible for undertaking various other related tasks with , on an as-needed basis.
