Help Vote Collingswood Best Town in America

Collingswood is sponsoring a party at Casona this Wednesday, to encourage residents to vote the borough best town in America.

Currently number 16—with 167,920 votes—in Reader's Digest's campaign, Collingswood won't be content until No. 1.

To help boost votes on the site, the borough is sponsoring a Get the Vote Out for Collingswood party at at 4 p.m. this Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Borough Mayor James Maley and commissioners, along with , are hosting the event, which will feature music, food, and drinks—in an effort to boost the borough to one of Reader's Digest's 18 most loved municipalities in the country.

will provide refreshments and food. All residents have to do is stop by with a laptop, and join their neighbors in casting an online vote.

While 's event begins at 4 p.m., the borough has designated the entire day of Jan. 11 as Get Out the Vote Day.

According to a borough press release, "leading towns in the contest have more than 700,000 votes and populations of just a couple thousand."

"If just 1,000 people voted 50 times each we would double our vote total and move up dramatically,” said Collingswood Mayor Jim Maley who is planning on attending Casona’s vote party. “The cash prize is a great goal, but this is about town pride, too. We need people to make sure Collingswood is represented as one of the best towns in America by voting daily and mobilizing neighbors, teams and groups. Please take time to vote on January 11.”
