This week kicks off with a borough Commissioners meeting, and wraps up with Second Saturday. In between, there's Election Day and a couple holiday-themed events.

1. Borough Commissioners Meeting

Monday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.—Collingswood Community Center

Hear updates from borough commissioners about everything that's gone on in town since the storm, see what's on the table for new ordinances and bring your problems to your local officials.

2. Election Day

Tuesday, Nov. 6, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Make time Tuesday to vote, Collingswood. In addition to the presidential election, you're voting on two referendum issues and selecting three school board candidates.

  • Districts 1, 4 and 8 all vote at the Collingswood Community Center
  • Districts 2, 12 vote at the Collingswood Public Library
  • Districts 3, 9, 10 and 11 vote at the Scottish Rite Ballroom
  • Districts 6 and 7 vote at the Zane North School All-Purpose Room
  • District 5 votes at the Transfiguration School

3. Collingswood Holiday Parade Fundraiser

Wednesday, Nov. 7, 6 to 10 p.m.—The Tortilla Press Cantina, 7716 Maple Ave., Pennsauken

Journey over to the second location of Chef Mark Smith's Mexican restaurant Friday night to see guest bartender Mike DiBartolo, of DiBartolo's Bakery, "who will be slinging drinks and shaking his moneymaker to earn your tips for the 2012 Collingswood Holiday Parade!"

4. 3rd Annual Holiday Bazaar

Saturday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.—Collingswood High School Cafeteria

"Come on out and get a head start on some Holiday Shopping," as all sales benefit the award-winning CHS Marching Band. Vendors, concessions, and more will be on display at the event, and some spaces are still available for rent. E-mail collsba­ndboosters@­yahoo.­com for details.

5. Second Saturday

Saturday, Nov. 10, 5 to 9 p.m.—downtown Collingswood

"Experience the culture of downtown Collingswood with local artists, crafters and musicians"...and pop in for gallery openings and wine-and-cheese tastings at most places along Haddon Avenue.
