County Conducting $570,000 Improvement Project at Newton Lake Park

Improvements include the reconstruction of the parking lot at Newton Lake Drive and Route 30 and replacement of the roof on the pavilion off of Lakeshore Drive.

The Camden County Parks Department is conducting improvements at Newton Lake Park.

“Our park system contributes significantly to the quality of life we have here in Camden County,” said Freeholder Jeff Nash, liaison to the Camden County Parks Department.  “These improvements will make a great park even more enjoyable for Camden County residents.”

When completed, the $570,000 project will include the reconstruction of the parking lot at Newton Lake Drive and Route 30, and replacement of the roof on the pavilion off of Lakeshore Drive.  Landscape improvements will be made at Lakeshore Drive and West Cuthbert Boulevard, and new fencing will be installed at Lakeshore Drive and Lees Lane.  The park will also get new signs, garden walls and landscape plantings throughout.
