County Closes Roads 8 a.m. to Noon Sunday

A "full-scale emergency response [training] exercise" will close parts of Cuthbert Boulevard and North and South Atlantic avenues.

The following announcement was released by Camden County Freeholders.

The Camden County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will partner with the Collingswood OEM, Haddon Township OEM and PATCO to conduct a full-scale emergency response exercise along the PATCO rail lines in Haddon Township. The drill will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 and will result in several road closures.

“Our first responder community regularly participates in exercises, both internally and with other agencies, to ensure they are prepared for any emergency,” said Freeholder Ian Leonard.

“The preparation and training they conduct throughout the year enable them to competently assist the residents of Camden County in any emergency situation.”

To conduct this exercise, they have planned road closures in the area during the exercise period.

Cuthbert Road will be closed from Haddon Avenue to Park Avenue. South Atlantic Avenue and North Atlantic Avenue will be closed from Cuthbert Road to Conard Avenue. Please plan alternate routes to avoid delays.
