During the meeting, Maley said the deal breaks down to roughly $9,000-$10,000 dollars per month in savings for Collingswood.

Each of the eight municipalities involved reportedly pays $65 per ton to currently have trash incinerated in Camden City.

Borough officials said this monthly cost will decrease to $52.50 per month—a savings of $12.50—under the new, multi-town disposal service. The new contract, said officials, was formed via a competitive bidding process.

The Camden County conglomerate of eight municipalities will reportedly save $949,667 combined per year.

The contract, according to borough administration, will span 14 months, beginning this year on Nov. 1.
