Woodlynne Police Seek Suspect in Sovereign Bank Robbery

A masked man demanded cash from a teller at the Mt. Ephraim Ave. location at noon Monday, authorities said.

A masked man made off with a bag full of cash from the Sovereign Bank in Woodlynne on Monday afternoon, and authorities are looking for anyone who may recognize him.

The man, who was apparently unarmed, entered the bank around noon, leaned over the counter, and allegedly ordered the teller to put cash in a bag, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

He then ran off.

There have been a number of bank robberies in the area in recent months, including at the 1st Colonial Bank in Collingswood in August and the Cornerstone Bank in West Deptford

The Sovereign Bank branch in Woodlynne was itself struck by costumed robbers in February.
