TD Bank on Kings Highway Robbed by Lone Woman, Police Say

The robbery took place around 12:30 p.m.

A woman acting alone robbed the TD Bank on North Kings Highway around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Cherry Hill Police said.

The alleged robber, described as a 5 foot, 6 inch tall white woman, wearing black capri pants, a black top and a black-brimmed cap with a blonde ponytail, walked into the branch, approached a teller and passed a note demanding money, police said.

After taking the money, the woman walked out of the bank and took off northbound on Kings Highway in a white car, possibly a Chevrolet Cavalier, police said.

Anyone with information about the woman is asked to call the Cherry Hill Police Department’s 24-hour line at 856-488-7828.

The woman pulled over was actually my sister's coworker (who did not rob the bank, incidentally.)

The mistake bank personnel made was permitting her in wearing a cap?

She doesn't seem to be carrying a weapon. What is the protocol of the teller in this scenario? Just give them what they want?

Depends on the bank, though I worked at one in college, and policy then was for tellers to go along with whatever demands were made, weapon or no weapon.

Funny that a woman in black with a black hat like this wasn't a red flag?
