Police Pursue Suspects in Attempted Robbery of Haddon Township Gas Station

Three men assaulted an attendant, but fled with no cash.

Three men assaulted a gas attendant Friday morning during an attempted strong-arm robbery of the Gulf gasoline station on Route 130 in Haddon Township.

The incident was reported at 10:45 a.m.

One of the suspects brandished a fake gun, with which he struck one of the attendants in the head, according to police and eyewitness accounts.


The three fled the station on foot, and without any money, and were pursued by police Friday afternoon. They escaped to northbound Route 130, heading toward the Fairview section of Camden.

Police described the men as: 

  • a light-skinned black male, goatee, with a cast on his left hand and sunglasses;
  • a dark-skinned black male, wearing a green-and-yellow Oakland Athletics hat and a large watch;
  • a medium-skinned black male, wearing sunglasses, a doo rag, a dark jacket, light blue jeans, sneakers.
