Police Blotter: DWI Crash Injures One

December 14
responded to the 500 block of Collings Avenue for report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers encountered Desmond P. Spittlehouse, 82, of Collingswood, who police said smelled of alcohol.
Spittlehouse failed sobriety testing at the scene and was transported to police headquarters, where he registered a 0.13 blood alcohol level, above the legal limit of 0.08.

Spittlehouse was issued a summons for driving while intoxicated and careless driving. He was released to a sober adult pending a court date.
The other person involved in the crash was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
