Parking Lot Struggle Leads to Arrest at Heights of Collingswood
Breaking up a domestic disturbance at the apartment complex led a Collingswood police officer to the capture of a wanted man.
A Collingswood police officer who intervened in an apparent domestic dispute in the parking lot at the Heights of Collingswood earlier this month not only prevented a physical altercation from becoming more serious, but ended up capturing a wanted person as well.
On October 4, an officer on patrol near the Heights of Collingswood allegedly followed the sound of screams to discover a man and woman engaged in a physical struggle in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Police say the officer broke up the altercation, but during questioning, the man—Kevin Reed, 33, of Philadelphia—shoved the officer and ran off.
