Fugitive Arrested in Haddon Township Bar Shooting

Orlando Collins is charged with attempted murder in the Feb. 28 shooting.

U.S. Marshals arrested a Camden man accused of shooting a fellow bar patron in Haddon Township, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Haddon Township Police Chief Mark Cavallo announced Tuesday.

Orlando Collins, 36, now faces attempted murder and other charges for allegedly twice shooting a 26-year-old Camden man at Speedy’s Bar at 3200 Mt. Ephraim Ave. The shooting occurred on Feb. 28 at 10:30 p.m. The victim has since been released from the hospital.

Another man, Terrel Wiggins, 28, of Camden, also was implicated in the shooting. Authorities say he had a weapon that evening as well, but fire it.

The U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force found Collins Monday night at a home on the first block of Hemlock Way in Camden. Wiggins was earlier arrested by the marshals in Camden on March 8.

Collins is being held on $902,000 bail at Camden County Jail for attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and being a certain person not to possess weapons.
