Collingswood Police Foil Car Burglary, Recover Stolen Vehicle

Collingswood resident Evan Wallace, 18, was charged in the burglary and was remanded to county jail.

An open car door tipped off a Collingswood Police officer to a vehicle burglary in progress, and spared a lucky driver the hassle of being a victim.

At 3:30 a.m. on June 29, an officer on patrol in the Heights of Collingswood noticed the door of a 2007 Chevrolet was ajar. The vehicle had been parked facing the White Horse Pike.

Upon closer inspection, the officer discovered 18-year-old Evan Wallace of Collingswood allegedly rooting around in the back seat of the car.
