Collingswood Man Arrested on Gun Charges in Camden
Camden County Police say Shawn Garrison was carrying a .380 Smith and Wesson with a defaced serial number and that was loaded with hollowpoint bullets.
A Collingswood man was arrested in Camden City on Tuesday night, allegedly carrying a concealed, semi-automatic handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets and the serial number of which had been defaced.
Police said 36-year-old Shawn Garrison ran away from officers that approached a group of men in the 1400 block of Sheridan Street around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Garrison tripped while running, according to authorities, and as he got up from the ground, police allegedly saw him tuck a gun into his waistband.

When they caught Garrison, authorities said he was found to be in possession of a .380 Smith and Wesson semi-automatic handgun that was "fully loaded with hollow-point bullets" and a defaced serial number.
Garrison was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to have weapons, possession of hollow-point bullets and defacing a handgun.

He was remanded to the Camden County jail on default of $205,000 cash-or-bond bail.
