Camden County Social Worker Committed Sex Crime, Police Say

Highland Regional High School staff member Anthony Williams was arrested Tuesday, authorities said.

One of Camden County’s regional school districts has been hit with its third allegation of inappropriate teacher-student contact in less than a year, after a social worker in the Black Horse Pike Regional district was arrested and charged Tuesday.

Anthony Williams, 52, of the 1200 block of Little Gloucester Road in Clementon, a social worker at Highland Regional High School, faces multiple charges after allegedly engaging in unspecified inappropriate sexual behavior when a male student was at his home, Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk said Wednesday.

Williams’ arrest follows scandals at both Triton Regional High School and Timber Creek Regional High School, where multiple teachers and administrators have been involved.

The Triton sex scandal, which involved three teachers who admitted having relationships, some sexual, with underage students, just resolved this summer, when the last of the five staff members charged, former assistant principal Jernee Kollock, resigned her position in exchange for charges against her being dropped.

Charges are still pending against Timber Creek Regional High School teacher David Clune, who has been accused of harassment after allegedly sending 72 text and Facebook messages to ex-students over four days during the July 4th holiday weekend inviting them on dates.
