Burglars Hit Gardening Collingswood Residents

Collingswood Police are tracking two reported burglaries in which the victims' homes were burglarized while they were doing yard work.

When you're doing yard work on a Monday afternoon, the last thing you probably expect to see is your own car backing out of the driveway.

But that's how a Collingswood man learned that someone had burglarized his home.

Collingswood police say the victim had been cutting the lawn of his home in the 200 block of East Browning Rd., and saw his 2007 Ford leaving the driveway. He ran inside to find that his keys were among several things that had been taken in an apparent home burglary.

The vehicle was discovered two days later, abandoned at 7th and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia.

That incident happened April 22, and a similar one occurred almost three months later to the day.
