Body Found in Haddonfield, Death is Suspicious, Police Say

The man's body was found in the late afternoon by joggers, police said.

A man whose body was found off Merion Avenue in Haddonfield Monday afternoon died under suspicious circumstances, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Haddonfield Acting Police Chief Ted Steussey said.

Joggers found the body in a wooded area off Merion just before 5 p.m., and decomposition has made identification impossible so far, Faulk said.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, Faulk said, but evidence at the scene raised suspicion as to the circumstances of the man’s death.
