Community Update

Monday, 11-25-2013 about 7:45 AM CDT here in Texas.... I'd like to suggest that a member of the High School Camera or Photography Club be selected to Photograph the chidren who visit Santa Clause on the main street in downtown Collingswood that 1 ~ 2 weeks before Christmas. In about 1955, I was able to do that. We had a Camera Club directed by teacher Ben Marks and the Club was very interesting and did lead to my photo hobby into a lifetime with NASA and a bit more. At that time, I rented a Polaroid camera from Bob Moyer who had the Collingswood Camera Shop. I got to charge $ 1.00 per photo and parents realy enjoyed getting those instant photos ! It helped to support my hobby and I actually purchased that Polaroid camera before the Santa Claus display ended ! The Santa was a volunteer Collingswood Police officer and it was a lot of fun ! I hope that the High School may still have a Camera Club as we actually were able to purchase the Morse film tank $ chemicals to develope the actuall Panthers Football games and many photos for the Knight Yearbook ! OH !.... I am Robert Huff class of 1956.... now retired in Montgomery, Texas.... my Blessings to all in Collingswood and to have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day and Christmas 2013.... Thanking 'YALL'.... from Robert ( Bob ) Huff....
