R.I.P. Cornelius P. "Connie Mac Jr." Macauley, 51

Just a few days after the passing of his father, Cornelius P. "Connie Mac" Macauley Sr., the family was dealt another blow.

Update, 1 p.m., Oct. 15: Funeral services information for Connie Mac Jr. has been released: Funeral Thursday for Connie Mac Jr.

---------------------

Although no official notice has been published, reports are surfacing online today of the passing of Collingswood native Cornelius Patrick "Connie Mac Jr." Macauley, 51.

As seen on a Facebook memorial page, Macauley, who lent his name to the popular Pennsuaken bar and restaurant he owned, "passed peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones" on Friday, Oct. 12.

Earlier this week, the Macauley family laid to rest patriarch Cornelius P. "Connie Mac" Macauley Sr., a dedicated Philadelphia sports fan and notorious kidder who helped his sons manage the bar. Both men are remembered fondly by friends of the establishment in which they dedicated so many long hours.

We at Patch extend our sympathies to the Macauley family during this difficult time.

Hard working decent folks! I have known them since Connie Mac's at 22nd and Spring Garden in Philadelphia. What a tragedy and my sympathy to the family at this difficult time. Jon Lazorko

I am so sorry to hear about this. I remember going to Connie Macs a lot back when I was 21 now 28. A well established business with. Great folks and welcoming place. A lot of people knew him around town and from the bar. The family is in my prayers. Steve Kwiatkowski (Collingswood)
