Introducing the Plantlife+Patch New Music Blogcast

There are many talented bands right here in your neighborhood. Check them out in the new Plantlife+Patch New Music Blogcast. First up: Goodnight Lights of Collingswood.

Together with Patch, Plantlife Music (co-organizers of Before the Bridge) are working to introduce you to new, amazing, and homegrown music from right here in South Jersey.

You don't need to go far to discover some great independent acts. Take a quick look around, and you can get to know some of the artists in your own backyard.

Starting things off, we'd like to introduce Collingswood natives and residents GOODNIGHT LIGHTS

Here's what the reviewers think...

"Goodnight Lights continue to sharpen its musical voice with well crafted songwriting, sparkling harmonies, smart melodies and excellent guitar playing..."

-Bruce Warren, 88.5 WXPN

"(They) remind me a bit of The Arcade Fire... with the backup/gang choruses/shouts... I have a difficult time pinning down the sound (that’s a good thing)."

-Matthew Berlyant of NYC rock magazine, "The Big Takeover"

"I felt like… some of my favorite bands were finally smashed together in one…The Velvet Underground, The Pixies, The Stooges, Radiohead and The Arcade Fire. Goodnight Lights concocts a sound that channels these influences in a versatile yet original way. Innovative.”
