New Innovative Ideas from Commissioner Canidate Hugh McGuire
Collingswood Commissioners Canidate Hugh McGuire talks about some innovative ways to make this town better while others complain.
Commissioner Candidate Vblogs about some new ideas that would help our town while others Complain.
There was a great question at the debate the other night about new ideas that helped jell some further thoughts. As you know, one of my passions is education. With in a stone's throw. We have one of the newest Medical Schools in the nation at Cooper University Medical and one of the most established, well regarded Law Schools in Rutgers Law. These are just two of the tremendous regional assets we can connect to to Establish an Educational and Science Festival. We could build on the models of the Greenfest and the Book Fair. The Festival would be fun, and help promote the range of opportunities that are out there. We could work with interested college students and faculty, local teachers, parents and volunteers. we could include neiboring towns. It could have a multitude of componenents that could include the Odessey of the mind, Collinglab, the volunteer SAT prep program and other endevors that broaden the creative and intellectual avenues for our children.
An Education and Science Fair would help support our school district and put Collingswood on the educational map!
