Do you want to see labels on foods that contain GMOs? Now that Connecticut has passed a labeling law, and Maine and Vermont are REALLY close and Washington voters will have it on the ballot in November, we think that New Jersey has the integrity and vision to help those states lead the nation on this important issue.We have advanced our GMO labeling bill through the Assembly Budget Committee and are ready for the next step--AWARENESS! What's the best way to spread awareness? Letters to the editor! So, come to the next meeting at the Collingswood library, bring your pen and stationery if you have some, your thoughts about why you want GMOs labeled and we'll write letters together. Our more seasoned letter writers will be on hand to provide tips and guidance. If you'd rather write to the legislators, we will have the addresses of all the Senators who need to be contacted as well as talking points. Non-GMO snacks will be available to provide food for thought. After all, it IS a party, right?
