Samaritan’s Tree of Life Ceremony Brightens Holiday Season throughout Community

The community is encouraged to gather family and friends to celebrate the season as Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice presents five Tree of Life ceremonies throughout various communities.

The candlelight ceremonies are open to the public and will feature inspirational readings and music provided by local musicians and choirs, followed by refreshments and fellowship. Individuals may dedicate a light on the tree in memory of someone who has passed on or in honor of someone special in their life. Proceeds from optional donations benefit the patients, families and programs of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice.

About Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice:

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice ─ a not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization ─ is the regional leader for palliative medicine, geriatric care management, hospice care, grief support and counseling, and end-of-life education and advocacy. In addition to hospice care, the organization offers a range of Samaritan Active Total Care options earlier in the care continuum. Last year, Samaritan provided $26 million of care for people in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer counties who are coping with elder care issues, serious illness, and/or grief.  Generous community support last year funded $1.25 million in essential, yet non-reimbursed, services over-and-above Samaritan services covered by Medicare, Medicaid, VA and private insurers.  For more information, visit www.SamaritanHealthcareNJ.org
